National O-SPORT Federation-Philippines (NOFP) is a SEC-registered, non-profit organization that aims to promote and develop the Oriental Style (OS) of Martial Arts as an effective combat sport and an exciting fitness regimen in the Philippines. Taking its roots from the success of the National KickBoxing Federation of the Philippines (NatKick) in 2003 when only the American Full-Contact KickBoxing was the focal style promoted then, NOFP widened its style coverage in 2007 by embracing other styles like boxing, Iran wrestling style, Free Fight (submission/grappling) and weapon stick techniques incorporating them into one distinct and innovative new sport called the Oriental Sport or what we called O - Sport. In less than a year since its international affiliation, NOFP has already proven its worth as one of the most active and organized members in the World O-SPORT Federation (WOF), an Iran-based governing body responsible in organizing and developing said well-balanced martial arts sports discipline thru competitions among its member-countries. Such feat has made NOFP as the sole recognized implementing body in the Philippines of WOF’s events. Through global competitions, NOFP and WOF aim to promote the Oriental Sport utilizing 4 categories namely: 1. AGMATANO (Shoot Fight) - combination of boxing, striking, knee and Iran wrestling techniques; 2. AHMATAN (Part Fight) - combination of striking, punch on the body and Iran wrestling techniques; 3. AKSAYA (Free Fight) - combination of boxing, striking, knee, elbow and free wrestling techniques with grappling and submission; and 4. Non-Fighting Style: 1. Weapons Fight - traditional Iranian wood play called Alak Dolak 2. Gymnastic Movements Demonstration (Self Defense Technique, Shadow Fight, Fast Demo) NOFP is recognized, endorsed, and a registered member of the following national and international organizations: 1. Wrestling Association of the Philippines (WAP). 2. World O-Sport Federation (WOF) 3. Federation of Asian O-Sports (FAOS) 4. World Martial Arts Games Committee (WMAGC) thru WOF 5. National Olympic Council of Iran (NOC) thru WOF 6. TAFISA Sports for All thru WOF 7. International Council of Sport Science and PE (ICCSPE) thru WOF 8. World Anti-Doping Association (WADA) For evaluation and awaiting recognition: 1. Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) 2. Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) 3. Sport Accord (former GAISF) Being a non-profit group, NOFP is also committed to pursue its social responsibility of taking a noble role in the society by training and molding (for free) the youth sector thru the various barangay units on the martial arts discipline and transforming them into outstanding athletes who can bring honor and pride to their family, barangay, city and the country. NOFP is also an active martial arts event organizer all over the Philippines. Last March 2009, NOFP has brought O-Sport to CAR region. MISSION: To make relevant contributions in the Philippines that is well-respected and highly recognied by National and International sport groups for its significant. VISION: To be the prime martial arts organization in the contributions to the country's sports industry and the Filipinos, in general. OBJECTIVE: 1. Aims to increase the level of appreciation and participation on O-Sport among the Filipino athletes 2. To establish and administer a martial arts school that only carries high training standards focusing not only on the development of the art but more so, in shaping the totality of the Filipino Athletes 3. To provide free training and scholarship grant to potential athletes belonging to less fortunate individuals who has the passion for the sport both in the amateur and professional level 4. To ensure that the income and property of the NOFP shall be applied towards promotion of the objectives of the federation.
